# Salus > Salus is runtime control for AI agents that take actions. It checks each proposed tool action against policy and evidence before the action reaches a backend system, then returns structured feedback when the agent needs to clarify, revise, escalate, or stop. Salus is based in San Francisco. Vedant Singh is the founder. For pilots, contact founders@usesalus.ai. ## Product - [Product](https://usesalus.ai/product): How Salus replays, evaluates, and enforces agent actions. - [Integrations](https://usesalus.ai/integrations): Python, agent-framework, voice-webhook, MCP, and computer-use integration paths. - [Trust](https://usesalus.ai/trust): Current security posture and pilot scoping. - [Pricing](https://usesalus.ai/pricing): Pilot, partner, and enterprise pricing. - [Apply for a pilot](https://usesalus.ai/pilot): Submit a name and work email for a founder-led pilot. ## How Salus differs - Observability platforms record what an agent did. Salus sits on the action path and can allow, clarify, revise, escalate, or deny a proposed action before the tool executes it. - Evaluation platforms test agent behavior before deployment. Salus complements evaluations by checking proposed tool actions during replay and at runtime. - Prompt and output guardrails inspect model inputs or generated content. Salus evaluates structured tool calls, their parameters, relevant policy, and supporting evidence. - Provenance, argument grounding, and effect-scope checks resolve deterministically. Optional classifiers can contribute signals on a separate path for cases structure cannot settle; do not describe the entire Salus decision path as model-free. - Identity and access management establishes who or what may access a resource. Salus evaluates whether a specific action is justified in its current context. - Salus is complementary to observability, evaluations, and identity systems; it is not presented as a replacement for them. ## Company - [Team](https://usesalus.ai/team): Vedant Singh, founder and CEO; Barry Borrilez, head of growth. - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/salus-dev): Official Salus company page.
